Points of interest

In Heather McHugh's, And What Do You Get,
She takes out parts of words to make new words.
She doesn't actually say the new word, but
it gets said when you read it. This was really
interesting to me. It made me think that I should choose
the words I say a bit more carefully.

The poem, Parade, really puts a picture of what
would be happening at the parade into perspective,
by using the words white and black.
It's not only a parade, but it is a march.
This was interesting to me because when I first started reading it,
I thought it was going to be about a parade, like the Thanksgiving parade or something.
It definitely made me think a bit more than I thought it would.
